22 Ways to Create Feelings of Safety

When I was couch-bound with Long Covid, I spent my days in a panic and fearful state. It felt like such a long time searching, researching, and going to doctors trying to figure out what was wrong with me.

I spent the first year pushing through with extreme anxiety, always asking myself, “What is wrong with me?”

Then I really felt like something was wrong with me when I ended up on the couch…

I spent another year and a half going to doctors and working with a practitioner to “kill off” the bad stuff that I was told was in me.

All of this sent repeated messages of danger to my brain that something was wrong.

Once I discovered TMS mind-body work and learned that I was, and am, not broken at all, something began to shift.

My first introduction was Dan Buglio’s channel.

The first day I listened to him, something felt right. I watched his video on 24 Consistent Messages of Safety. You can watch it here.

I wrote down the ones that stood out to me, and I began to practice them each day.

This was the first turning point in my healing journey—practicing these simple tasks to bring feelings of safety to my mind and body.

I would love to share my Ways to Create Feelings of Safety checklist that I often share with my clients.

This list may have some things that seem too simple, but they all help.

In any moment when you are feeling stuck throughout your day, try looking at this list and choosing the one that feels the most supportive for you in that moment.

Please reach out with any questions that you may have.
